Continuous Improvement Manager

About the role

As a Continuous Improvement Manager, you will report into the Senior Director of Continuous Improvement. Your primary role is to serve our business teams in developing improvement and cost savings projects. Core duties will include mentoring, coaching, training, and supervising the successful implementation of Lean / cost savings initiatives.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in training and development of buying functions to improve cost savings performance.
  • Identify, implement, and successfully document up to $500K+ in annual savings improvements for our customers.
  • Ability to present projects, conduct kaizen events, and facilitate meetings with large audiences internally and externally with key customers.
  • Communications, public speaking, and presentations skills are a must
  • Establish business requirements to ensure the proper execution of Continuous Improvement strategies and initiatives.
  • Assist in identify core business requirements, root cause analysis, and the development of Standard Operating procedures.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert and a key contributor on key assignments
  • Communicate company policies, goals, strategies, and vision.
  • Facilitate quality systems, continuous process improvements, and safety initiatives in accordance with Lean thinking throughout the organization.
  • Advance company metrics including safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale.
  • Develop, model, and coach Lean applications.
  • Review Lean performance expectations with leadership teams across the organization.
  • Perform administrative duties commensurate with the requirements of the organization including data gathering, metrics, reports, and newsletters.

Ability to travel.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 4+ years’ experience in Supply Chain, Operations, and Lean Manufacturing or related field
  • 4+ years Lean Six Sigma experience with Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification, or equivalent credentials.
