Digital Transformation Lead – UK based
About the role
This role is a pivotal position in steering our transition to a unified global technology platform. This platform encompasses both client-facing mobile and marketplace technologies, as well as the transactional systems that enable our operations. The transformation of our technology platform will enhance our global ways of working for 1,000+ employees and deliver an enhanced experience to our large global client base.
Key responsibilities
- Define a comprehensive strategy for rollout of a unified technology platform inclusive of client-facing technologies and core transactional systems.
- Program manage multiple large enterprise technology transformation initiatives, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and internal stakeholders to align digital transformation initiatives with organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback, ensuring systems are user-centric and meet market demands.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with vendors and outsourced partners, ensuring vendor performance and contract management.
- Lead negotiations with vendors to establish terms that are favourable to the organization, including pricing, delivery schedules, and service levels.
- Define and implement master data strategies, ensuring data integrity, confidentiality, and availability.
- Champion the automation of high-volume business processes and transactions by researching and applying innovative technologies.
- Facilitate strong inter-departmental communications and cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead, mentor, and provide direction to internal and external teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and open communication.
- Set clear objectives and paths for career progression for all direct, indirect and project team reports.
Candidate requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Significant experience in IT leadership roles, preferably in large, global organizations with a minimum of 5 years leading large-scale implementations on an international scale.
- Knowledge of IFRS Accounting Standards and experience implementing systems in accordance with standards.
- Demonstrated experience managing outsourced providers.
- Strong background in master data management and system development.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Ability to build, lead and grow strong teams with proven ability to effectively manage global teams located in different countries and time zones.
- Position will require travel to Warrington UK frequently and occasional US or global travel.
