About the role

This newly created role is a key appointment in the development of RS Integrated Supply’s reliability engineering service offering. The role has a global remit to bring to market a number of service solutions that have been identified and scoped.

The role is highly collaborative, working cross functionally and across business units. Working with subject matter experts in Engineering; collaborating with change managers and creating content with marketing and communications teams, the role is positioned at the heart of our business and offers opportunity for growth.

The role requires a tenacious, flexible, and innovative individual to deliver impactful service launches, who can develop and manage a service proposition from ‘cradle to grave’ and who is able to articulate the offer through many different channels.

We require a candidate who has proven experience in bringing service solutions to market, and who has the ability to program manage all aspect of the launch and subsequent lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinating research from subject matter experts & other data sources: Market opportunity sizing, competitor analysis, price elasticity, GTM strategy. Utilises VoC and other feedback sources to refine the proposition.
  • Proposition development: What is the service offer for clients? How does this differ from competitors? What value does this deliver for client? And for RS Integrated Supply?
  • Identifying, contracting, and managing service providers / suppliers in conjunction with subject matter experts (Engineering). Working with legal to develop MSA for contractor(s) to operate to.
  • Identifying the operational procedures for the execution of service offer, in conjunction with SMEs.
  • Service pricing model defined and agreed with finance.
  • Commercial agreement templates drafted in conjunction with Legal for use by sales.
  • Responsible for commercialisation of new service launches. Including: development of sales assets, branding, GTM and marketing of the solution. Works closely with Business Development and Marketing to bring the service to market and supports it throughout the lifecycle.
  • Overall management and co-ordination of new service introductions and service lifecycle.
  • Monitoring and tracking of KPIs: revenue, profitability, customer count.

Candidate requirements

  • Product Manager with 5+yrs experience. Of which a minimum of 3+yrs to have been involved with Service / Solution development.
  • Experienced within manufacturing environment is essential. Preferably with engineering background.
  • Proven project / program management experience.
  • Brilliant collaborator, able to manage a complex matrix of stakeholders.
  • Able to break down metaphorical barriers and maintain focus on deliverables.
