Technical Trainer
About the role
We are looking for a Technical Trainer to design and deliver comprehensive and effective training programs to users across the business and their clients.
Candidates must have a strong understanding of IT systems with a background in a technical environment, and have experience of designing and creating training materials
As the Technical Trainer, you will be responsible for preparing, conducting, and evaluating technical training programs. Write literature, create and edits videos and materials to be used in programs and designs exercises to enhance lectures. Conduct classes located in the corporate office and out in the field, therefore some travel will be required.
Key responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assess training needs and site requirements.
• Deploy training to targeted personnel.
• Prepare training material and classroom agenda.
• Provide end user training for client.
• Conduct presentations and webinars.
• Create instructor materials (course outlines, background material, instructional materials, and training aids).
• Assist in design of computer-based and multimedia curriculum.
• Continuously enhance technical instructional delivery and presentation skills.
• Ensure the quality and consistency of course content throughout a course life cycle.
• Test process with different subjects.
• Plan and direct classroom training, electronic learning, multimedia programs, and other computer-aided instructional technologies, simulators, conferences and workshops.
Candidate requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Education, or other related field or equivalent work experience
• Knowledge of Inventory Management / Purchasing systems highly desirable
• 6+ years of training (including IT course development and delivery) experience or related field experience.
• Flexible to travel (Primarily in Europe, with the potential for Worldwide travel)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and public speaking abilities
• Problem solving and trouble shooting skills
• Technical/software skills
• Teaching and/or professional training experience is an asset
• Excellent interpersonal skills – people skills and influencing skills
• Ability to work closely with a team
• Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
• Strong time management skills
• Excellent organizational skills
