Recognition from the Armed Forces Covenant
WARRINGTON, UK / RADNOR, PA 04 October 2024 – RS Integrated Supply announced it has received the Silver Award from the Armed Forces Covenant as part of the Employer Recognition Scheme in support of the U.K.’s Defence.
Last year, RS Integrated Supply signed the Armed Forces Covenant, a commitment to improve the lives of service members and their families in United Kingdom.
More than 10,000 companies have pledged commitment to the covenant, which involves upholding two key principles:
- No member of the Armed Forces Community should face disadvantage in the provision of public and commercial services compared to any other citizen.
- In some circumstances special treatment may be appropriate, especially for the injured or bereaved.
The Silver Award is bestowed to companies that signed the Armed Forces Covenant, and have acted to:
- Demonstrate that service personnel and the armed forces community are not unfairly disadvantaged as part of their recruiting and selection processes
- Ensure that their workforce is aware of their positive policies towards defence people issues
- Support training by providing additional paid/unpaid leave for Reservists
- Provide proactive support to individual cadets and/or to local cadet units
