Finance Business Partner

About the role

The purpose of the role is to oversee the budget, forecast and month end closing processes and fosters creative solutions and collaboration with the operations to achieve financial objectives. The Finance Business Partner develops, delivers, and drives solutions to overcome business challenges to consistently achieve financial commitments. This role is responsible for identification and ongoing monitoring of under-performing clients, including leading improvement team to turnaround performance at such clients.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop proformas and scenario analyses that drive clarity in Executive decision-making
  • Administration of policies and programs while working with the Operations team to achieve the financial and operating objectives
  • Facilitate financial contract compliance including existing and new business monitoring, closing of lost business including security of assets, and comprehensive review of all accounting procedures
  • Monitor working capital requirements, with a particular focus on the administration of accounts receivable and their collection.
  • Support and drive technology enhancements that enhance operational efficiency and profitability
  • Assist the Operation Leadership and headquarters staff in administering compliance with Corporate Policies and related directives
  • Identify and promote sharing of best practices
  • Ensuring data integrity and ongoing compliance with internal and external controls. Work situations vary and require development, analysis, interpretation and implementation of policies, practices, and procedures. Position works closely with senior management across all functions to strengthen internal controls, optimize company growth and profitability
  • Conducts ongoing training sessions with the operations team regarding new accounting procedures and other relevant financial programs and initiatives
  • Provides training on tools and reporting as necessary
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Candidate requirements

  • Strong trend analysis skills, who can proactively identify issues and make recommendations
  • Strong conceptual skills (such as probability and statistical inference)
  • It will be essential to have strong analytical and communication skills, as well as experience leading/championing projects
