Client Operations Manager – Northwest region of UK

About the role

Responsible for ensuring we deliver exceptional service to our clients within our integrated stores solutions. This role will ensure the successful delivery of all sites operational elements and people management contained within this. The role will lead teams of site-based colleagues such as envoys, stores managers and supervisors within a geographical location.

The role will ensure a consistent approach to delivering excellence across the board.

This is a hybrid role, and will require you to be at one of our Liverpool sites 2 days per week.

Ideally you will be based in based between Liverpool and Manchester to support our clients in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Delivering a program to drive a consistently high performance in operational
management as measured through the Opex program.
• To engage with and communicate to clients within the region the on-site
transformational benefits that your team are delivering
• To manage a plan to ensure a consistent approach to behaviours, knowledge, attitude
and output across the site-based teams and supporting functions.
• To ensure a full program of activities is in place across all integrated stores solutions
relating to SLA and KPI metrics such as but not limited to SSL review, obsolescence
reviews, goods receipt and processing.
• To embed and drive a culture of continuous improvement across all site locations and throughout the team
• Utilise data to identify opportunities and drive efficiencies in the above processes
• Supporting new business by providing a centre of operational excellence with the region to use as a benchmark for industry best practice, assisting in reference visits
• Develop strong client relationships through the communication and management of the above
• Manage all elements relating to the stores solutions that deliver against the RS Integrated Supply Client satisfactions scorecard
• Manage a team of site-based stores personnel and all relevant line management accountabilities connected with this
• Work collaboratively with the Client services manager and the strategic partner managers to ensure all service elements of client contracts are achieved
• To act as a point of resolution and first contact for the client for all relevant matters
• To provide a full and clear training program to drive consistent performance across all locations
• To carry out such other duties which are consistent with the nature and responsibilities of the job role
• Drive a program of activity to ensure the full team are clear on objectives and how this links to the Client service metrics and the RS Integrated Supply 2025 strategy
• Measurable activities to drive performance both internally and externally.

Candidate requirements

• Ability to lead a team to deliver strong results
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build long term relationships with clients and stakeholders at site level with a self-awareness required to operate successfully at a senior level
• Leadership of teams across multiple locations with demonstrable success in engagement and influence
• Ability to interpret reports and KPI data into deliverable actions
• Operational background which can credibly demonstrate the above.
• Can do attitude – the ambition and drive to challenge, deliver excellence and be positive about change
