Engineering Stores Clerk

About the role

Working under direction of the Engineering Compliance Manager (or nominated deputy) the Engineering Stores Clerk will be responsible for completing and documenting categorisation assessments on high criticality spare parts as part of a wider improvement project. The individual will be required to work on their own initiative to gather the supplementary information required to accurately complete these assessments, from within the Engineering department and from external functions.

In addition to completing other related tasks as required. Excellent record keeping and organisational skills are essential, whilst experience in a regulated environment is highly preferred.

Key responsibilities

To consistently deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a professional and courteous relationship with the Client.

• To evaluate individual materials against the high criticality spare parts assessment to determine their classification and then document the outcome.

• To proactively liaise with the relevant Manufacturing departments and Engineers to gather any additional information required to complete high criticality spare parts assessments accurately.

•To segregate materials previously highlighted as being of high criticality on delivery and ensure they are stored in a secure location until quality control checks can be completed.

• Complete certificate of assurance checks on segregated materials in a timely manner and ensure the procedure for storing this documentation is adhered to.

• Escalate any non- conformance to the Engineering Compliance Manager (or nominated deputy) quickly and precisely.

• Once quality control checks are completed satisfactorily, transfer materials into the main stores location and adjust stock locations accordingly.

• To maintain a high level of housekeeping in line with Company standards

• To attend site meetings when required to discuss any issue(s) within store and to follow up appropriately

• To carry out such other duties which are consistent with the nature and responsibilities of the job role

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

• Excellent IT skills (SAP experience desirable but not essential)

• Strong organisational skills

STEM- Qualification.
