Field Support Engineering Stores – Ireland

About the role

The Field Support Stores Person plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless operations by providing  coverage for absences and holidays across various store locations in Ireland. This position involves the management of inventory, stock movements, and material distribution in different areas, maintaining continuity of supply to meet operational needs during staff absence periods. The role requires flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to quickly familiarize oneself with different store setups and procedures.

Applicants must have access to their own vehicle and be willing to travel within Ireland and stay away from home as required

Key responsibilities

• To receipt deliveries and put stock away in pre-determined storage locations
• To issue stock products
• To assist customers in the selection of goods, advising where applicable alternatives that reduce overall cost
• To initiate and conclude all customer / vendor returns in approved manners
• To conduct rotational stock checks as required
• To conduct progressing and associated duties as required for site
• To identify cost saving measures that will benefit the Customer
• To drive continuous improvements to the engineering stores
• To maintain the store standards to Opex requirements
• To provide excellent levels of customer service for the client
• To assist with any specific project work or implementation as resource requires
• To train and develop Store envoys as required for the needs of the business
• To maintain the required H&S site requirements including reporting near misses as per company procedure
• To complete a handover document for the Envoy’s return
• Carry out any other reasonable management request to assist the business or client

Candidate requirements

• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A willingness to learn and develop
• A Forklift Truck License is desirable but not essential
• Full Driving License
• Fully Flexible as will be required to travel to Client Stores sites across the UK at short notice – Regular overnight stays required.
• SAP experience (desirable, but not essential).
• A positive ‘can do’ attitude
• A pro active team member
