Head of Finance Operations

About the role

Reporting to the RSIS Finance Director, and collaborating with the Financial Controller, Head of Finance Transformation, FP&A and Commercial Finance this is a critical leadership role during a time of significant change at RSIS.

The mandate is to create a best-in-class finance operations organisation for RSIS.

Due to the RSIS go-to-market proposition, the AP & AR functions play a fundamental role in the client and supplier offering and the leader will require the commercial acumen to create value for the group with a focus on recoverability of the cost base, as well as the experience of running a finance operations organisation.

Key responsibilities

  • Leading teams of AP and AR specialists through a time of process and system transformation to create a best-in-class service operation within the required financial control framework.
  • Collaborating and partnering with stakeholders across the organisations, including Sales, Procurement, Operations and proactively managing the internal and external relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Playing a lead role in the Finance Transformation workstreams, whilst embedding a culture of Continuous and Process Improvement
  • Proactively reviewing and developing KPI dashboards and reporting, providing transparency and performance results to the Finance Director, and LT and wider Group Finance stakeholders
  • Operational ownership of billing accuracy, working with the wider business to ensure clean and accurate data feeds through process and data improvements
  • Leading month end processes working alongside the Accounting and control teams.
  • Owning appropriate annual audit requirements working alongside the FC
  • Wider finance team and ad-hoc project support as required

This is a Hybrid role and will require the successful candidate to work at the Warrington office – minimum 2 days per week

Candidate requirements

  • A senior leader with significant experience running a Finance operations function in a complex multi-national organisation.
  • Reputation for being a change agent.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills through times of significant change.
  • Data-driven performance management with a passion for operational excellence
  • Proven experience in process re-engineering and continuous improvement
  • Experience of working in a fast paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, showing a high attention to detail
  • Ability to be pro-active and challenge as appropriate.
  • Excellent stakeholder managements skills
  • Has impact and gravitas with the ability to collaborate with people across the organisation and at different levels
